Follow the Sea - Virhe

Follow the Sea is Erik Solfeldt and Magnus Lundgren's noise pop band from Stockholm. The Swedish duo released two EPs, in 2013 and 2014, and spent 2015 preparing their first full-length album. Blue Joy will be released digitally and on 12” vinyl on May 25th via Häxrummet Records
The first track off the album is called 'Virhe' and it's an ethereal blend of electronica and the Scandinavian melancholy without excluding the band's shoegaze inspirations.
You can check out 'Virhe' and pre-order the album below.

Jupimatoon - Take Your Time EP

While listening to NTW on DKFM yesterday I stumbled on a new band that immediately caught my attention. Their name is Jupimatoon, they come from Seattle, WA and they describe their music as a blend of electronic, ambient and dream pop. The duet of Anna Thompson and Eric Smith released a dazzling debut EP on February 2nd called 'Take Your Time'. It comprises five tracks full of resplendent synths accompanied by Anna's mesmerizing vocals. 'The Window' is the first single off the EP and the darker 'White Lightning' is a personal favourite, but the whole EP is absolutely worth listening to.
You can stream 'Take Your Time' on Soundcloud as well as on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.

PREMIERE: Jon Kohen - Dead Reckoning

Jon Kohen has just unveiled a new video for the title track of his debut album 'Dead Reckoning', due for release next week (available on CD via Endless Bummer Records).
Using WWII footage, the video displays the way in which the particular navigation technique worked then.
For Jon Kohen it is another opportunity to use metaphor in order to distance and differentiate himself from the way people are sometimes expected to make their choices in life.
Highly emotional and atmospheric with soft vocals and penetrating, ethereal beats, the song will 'beckon' to you.

Sundayman ft. Sarah P. - On The Run

Looking for something joyous that will sweep you off your feet? Then consider your search is over. Sundayman is the moniker of Greek composer and producer Kyriakos Moustakas, who has been known for blending upbeat electronica with ambient and melodic tunes. His new album will be out on Inhousemusic and he recently shared a vintage video for 'On The Run', a track in which he collaborates with Keep Shelly In Athens' Sarah P. in the vocals. The result is a blissful electronic piece with dreamy vocals that will have you dancing even 'in your mind'.

PREMIERE: Jon Kohen - With Monsters At My Heels

Jon Kohen is a young musician from Boston, MA. He plays acoustic music over ambient electronica. His music is comprised of acoustic guitar and soft vocals over subtle electronic drones, beats and samples drawing influence from Elliot Smith and The Postal Service. His debut album 'Dead Reckoning' is scheduled for release on April 13th. Searchlight is the first single off the album, which follows The Heart of the Machine, an EP which came out last June.
Today we premiere the video for 'With Monsters At My Heels' directed by talented Michael O'Connor. A metaphorical song about moving on that could be a part of a compilation of poems dressed in equally evocative music. And a video that succeeds in visualizing this atmosphere.
